10 Face Wash That Makes You Spotty

Washing the face is one of the simplest rituals of everyday life. Unfortunately, still many of us are still wrong in doing so. Yes, you may not know, but washing your face if done carelessly even potentially damaging the skin or even make spotty.

Is your face wash right? Here are the 10 most common "big sins" done while washing your face.

1. Choose seamlessly product

Don't just take face cleaner just by reason of friend recommendation or tempted ads on television. Whether it's black spots, stubborn acne, or excess oil, we all have their own complaints about the skin. Know your skin type and what your main problem is, so you know what cleaning product is right for you.

A good facial cleanser should completely remove any kind of dirt, makeup residue, and dust from sticking, but not strip off too much of your natural oil and healthy skin cells. Choose a mild cleanser (which makes you feel you need to wash your face twice before it feels clean) but not too hard (make an irritated or dry face and tight after face wash).

2. Too often face wash

Wash face multiple times can make face cleaner? Wrong. The more often you wash your face it will make skin irritation and stimulate excess oil production (sebum). Limit rituals to wash your face twice daily, morning and evening. If you just move indoors, do not wear makeup, and do not sweat too much, just rinse face with warm water at night.

Does this mean you can skip face wash in the morning? Certainly not. As you sleep, your facial skin performs a self-cleansing ritual, pushing waste and dirt out through the sweat glands and pores. Keep any residual garbage left on your skin in the morning. So yes, you have to wash your face twice a day.

3. Hot water? No!

Wash your face with hot water to open the pores, then rinse with cold water. Maybe you often hear this "advice", or just routinely do it? Actually, the pores do not have the muscles to open and close. Hot water will actually make the skin dry and irritated. Leave this habit and replace hot water with warm water to cleanse the face.

4. Too frequent exfoliation

When your facial skin is in trouble, it's natural to "strike back" with a series of skin treatments for a smooth and bright face. One of them with exfoliation or exfoliation.

Exfoliation does need to be done regularly about 1 to 3 times a week. But remember, do not overdo it. Carelessly scrub or exfoliant scrub can cause dry skin, irritation, inflammation, and even infection. All of this damages your skin's ability to fight off acne-causing bacteria.

Tip: The finger is a natural exfoliator that is very effective to remove dead skin. Use your fingers to apply the exfoliator cream, instead of using a damp towel, to prevent skin from being attracted and scratched. For best results, massage the product in a soft circular pattern starting from the neck and slowly moving upwards.

5. Rinse out in a hurry

Just like a quick bath that does not make you feel clean and fresh, too hasty to wash your face is also not effective in getting rid of dirt and grease. To get a facial skin that always looks primed, take at least two minutes to wash your face. Concentrate massage in the area around the nose and forehead that tend to oily.

Tip: If you are using a milk cleanser, gently wipe the cleanser in a circular motion upward on the entire face in a dry state. Do it for at least thirty seconds so the cleaner can break down the oil and makeup residue. Afterward, take the cleanser again and repeat the message. The second cleanser stage will help dissolve any residue left in the first stage. Finally, rinse with water until clean.

6. Hazardous chemical products

Learn the compositions contained in your cleaning products. Avoid harmful cosmetic ingredients, such as parabens, fragrances, and colorants. Also avoid sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), a high-concentration detergent commonly used for cleaning machine excrement, floor cleaners, and car shampoo. SLS is a common risk factor for allergic reactions and irritation of the facial skin.

7. Rubbing habits

Whatever your skin type, it is important to be careful when applying a cleanser, mask, or exfoliant. Do not rub the cleanser too tightly so the skin is attracted. Do not also rub the towel to face when drying your face. Both of these will threaten the elasticity of the facial skin. Let the face dry by itself or pat the face with a clean towel.

Tip: distinguish a special face towel with a bath towel, let alone with someone else's. Towels are the main place of bacteria to breed.

8. Using moisturizer when the skin is already dry

This last step is probably one of the most important stages in a facial care routine. Moisturizer aka moisturizer will seal your skin's natural moisture and act as a barrier against toxins, free radicals, and foreign particles that are harmful to the skin. Apply moisturizer immediately after washing your face while the face is still damp, and gently massage the face. Always massage in an upward motion to avoid skin attracted.

The same is true for serum and other facial care products. Waiting until your skin is completely dry will make the active ingredients contained in the product becomes more difficult to absorb well and make the skin feel sticky and oily.

9. Only rely on expensive products

Expensive is not necessarily better. Instead of spending a lot of money on hunting for a branded facial cleanser that is not necessarily suitable for your skin problem, better use a simple natural cleanser and invest your money for beauty products that will provide long-term benefits to your face, such as vitamin serum and moisturizer.

10. Skip the face oil

Many consider that oil is the main enemy for the oily skin. Beauticians and dermatologists say otherwise. Oil is very friendly for all skin types because basically, the oil will dissolve when met with fellow oil. Oil will break the dirt and bacteria that cause acne on the skin. Oil also helps maintain skin moisture, thus balancing the pH of the skin.

Incorporating oil in your beauty regime is not difficult. Choose a face oil on the market that contains natural ingredients, or simply buy the oil of your choice. Almond oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower seeds, and olives are the recommendations of beauty bloggers.

Tip: Apply a little oil on the face and massage gently, leave to absorb. Clean the remaining oil with a soft cloth dampened with warm water.
